The IIITU ACM Student Chapter, in alignment with the mission of the Association for Computing Machinery, is committed to advancing computing and computer science by equipping members with the skills, knowledge, and professional readiness needed to excel in technology.
Our vision is to provide a structured pathway through hands-on learning, mentorship, technical workshops, research, and industry engagement, empowering students to break into the technology and become leaders and innovators in their field.
Titles describe roles, not rank. The best idea wins regardless of who holds it. We build consensus, not commands. Nobody's voice counts for more than anyone else's.
The chapter exists for its members — not the reverse. Every initiative and allocation asks one question first: does this genuinely serve our people?
We work as one team: no fiefdoms, no hoarding information, no "not my problem". We question assumptions, debate energetically and abandon ideas when better ones emerge. We're generous with credit and stingy with blame. We learn from mistakes together.
Every member should leave this chapter meaningfully more capable than when they arrived. Learning isn't an aspiration here — it's a commitment we make to each other.
Work is shared early, iterated publicly, and made better by many. Progress made openly beats perfection achieved in isolation. Drafts are not failures — they're invitations.
We care about being right and it often takes reasoning from first principles to get there.
